Covid-19 and Jammu & Kashmir (Part 1)

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious and Genuine Merciful.

Know more about Corona-virus:

So First of all we’ve to understand, what actually we’re facing right now. Is it a real ordeal for mankind or something unusual which we never seen before this. Corona Virus (Uncertain or vague evil epidemic) are a family of viruses that usually effect the respiratory tract in birds, animals and especially humans.

In 1960 researchers first discovered a coronavirus that will affect humans, and they termed it as HCoV (human coronavirus).HCoV then became responsible for most common colds and such more serious diseases and still now we know how much dangerous and evil is coronavirus. There are 3 new variations of the coronavirus that have been discovered, and unfortunately it renovates itself and becomes more pandemic which is obviously woeful ordeal for us.

  1. SARS (Severe acute respiratory syndrome)

Virus identified in 2003. SARS-CoV is thought to be an animal virus from an as-yet- uncertain animal reservoir, (Perhaps bats that spread other animals). It is a serious and sometimes fatal variant of the coronavirus that was discovered in China in 2002 and spread globally. (Almighty knows better).

  • MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome)

Viral respiratory illness caused by a coronavirus. It was first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and has since spread to several other countries, including the US. (Almighty knows everything).

  • Covid-19 (Coronavirus disease {2019})

Infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Discovered in late 2019 in Wuhan City, China and spread globally through which other affiliated countries became epicenters.

Effects of Coronavirus

First individuals who may have contracted the coronavirus generally have respiratory problems. Typically lungs of individuals are also indulged in this outbreak. Some symptoms are also mutilated with Stomach and Intestine resulting in nausea and diarrhea but these tend to be less common overall. Commonly, the signs and symptoms of Covid-19 include: fever (most often symptom), dry cough, fatigue, sputum (phlegm) production, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, chills and vomiting (Seldom or rare). All these symptoms are found in covid-19 patients. But during outbreak of covid-19, we found many cases of coronavirus that was spreading by asymptomatic persons. Another Variety i.e ‘Covid toe’ which was also puzzles doctors and becoming a sensitive issue. There’s considerable controversy over whether Covid toes (red sores or lesions) on the feet and the hands in children and young adults, are truly caused by Covid-19.

Coronavirus a Serious Matter

Coronavirus can be transmitted through air (airborne virus) claim 239 scientists in open letter to World Health Organization (WHO).The WHO has long held that the coronavirus is spread primarily by large respiratory droplets that once expelled by infected people in coughs and sneezes, fall quickly to the floor. But in an open letter to the WHO, 239 scientists in 32 countries have outlined the evidence showing that smaller particles can infect people through a medium of air. But Viruses can’t be withstood with air for long hours. Social distancing and wearing of mask can become a positive response against airborne virus.

MYTHS ABOUT COVID-19

  • 5G mobile networks: Unfortunately we’re well educated but behave like an idiot insane. It is obvious viruses can’t travel on radio transmission or waves.
  • Drinking Alcohol doesn’t protect you against Covid-19, although Alcohol is injurious to health, it may increases your risk of health problems.
  • Antibiotics works only against bacteria, not any viral infection. Unfortunately we Kashmiri people take unnecessary drugs without any advisory from well qualified doctors.
  • Cold weather and snow cannot kill the Covid-19 virus, and similarly Hot Summers are not another tool for killing the virus. The normal human body temperature remains around (36.5-37) degrees, regardless of any external temperature or weather.
  • Mosquitoes; till now there has been no information or any evidence that the new coronavirus could be transmitted by viruses.
  • Ultra Violet (UV) lamps should not be used to disinfect hands or other areas of your skin. People believe that it can kill the effective virus surface, but it’s another myth without any authentic evidence.
  • Pneumonia vaccination; Vaccines against pneumonia do not protect against the covid-19 virus.
  • Older and younger age (funny myth); People of All age can be infected by the covidd_19 virus. People with pre-existing medical condition such as Asthma, diabetes, and heart related diseases appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.

OUTBREAKS IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR

Very unfortunately or lamentably that Kashmir is in worst phase of outbreak and we take it as an unserious trouble. Albeit, it is true that fake hearsay is more evil than virus. But you can’t deny what is happening in the world. If you think superstitiously then hope for best and prepare for worst. Okay Fair enough that unnecessary report of Covid-19 makes a dilemma situation in your mind but it is obvious we’re in 2nd or 3rd phase where besides travel history, normal people can be a victim of this virus. So Right now there is no vaccination or medicines for covid-19, but recently Russia and Oxford University claims for positive vaccine trials for covid-19. Almighty knows better. Somehow Indian Ayurvedic department also plans Coronil (an Ayurvedic medicine) plays an important role for immune booster and fights against Covid-19. Again, Almighty is the best of Planners.

Right now we can take precautionary guidelines of WHO, CDC (Centers for disease control and prevention) DAK (Doctors Association Kashmir). According to them, Wash hands regularly, Use germs-killed alcoholic sanitizer, Social distancing and wearing a mask is better than a woeful ventilator.

My suggestion for Kashmiri peoples, if you think that you are suffering with some of the Covid-19 symptoms. I would like to say Self-home quarantine is best for you. Hospital expense of J&K will not be consumed so much and people with serious conditions can use ventilators as we know our hospitals manage less number of ventilators.
