Daw’ah

THE IMPORTANCE OF DAWAH
What Da`wah means ?
Da`wah, i.e. conveying the message of Islam to all around us, it is a duty enjoined on every Muslim by Allah (swt).
What quran says about it …. Allah says in the Quran
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
Surat An-Naĥl (The Bee) 16:125
It is the duty of every Muslim to convey the message of islam to the non-Muslim as prophet said:
بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً،
“Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single verse,
Allah futher says in Quran:
And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.
Surat ‘Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran) 3:104
There should be some people who only invite people to Islam and those will be in high place in paradise. When some one is trying to do dawah he should not think that I don’t have that much of a knowledge so first let be become a good scholar or any sheikh but over here we fail to realize, that time might not come and what ever we know that also we are not propagating . As prophet said if you know one verse just convey it and futher Quran says:
You strive in the path of allah …. Allah will open up your path ways

And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.
Surat Al-`Ankabūt 29:69
Some people think that I might not be able to convince him so you just remind your job is just to remind not to convert not to see the results not to see people accepts Islam and that’s none of your business you have nothing to do with it you only reminder just keep on reminding and you should be sincere in doing that .

So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
You are not over them a controller.
Surat Al-Ghāshiyah (The Overwhelming) – 88:21-22
You are not in authority to do anything with them, it is Allah who guides them and if our reminders our sincere who knows may be it take year or ten year for the person to come around just because our reminders were sincere. Consequently, Allah praises those who engage in this noble endeavor as being the best in speech.

“Who is better in speech than one who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds and says indeed I am among the Muslims.”

Soorah Fussilat, (41): 33

The best words that any human being can speak are words of guidance inviting people to the purpose of their creation; the worship of God. This being the case, the reward for giving da‘wah must be tremendous.

Doing the Job of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

The occupation of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) along with all other prophets was to be a Da’ee (caller to Islam). For us to be given the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the greatest man to have ever lived is a huge honour and favour given to us by Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He).

As we are followers of Muhammad ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), the responsibility of continuing this work falls on our shoulders, which is something worth remembering. So we should try to keep in mind of whom we are imitating by giving da’wah. In sha Allah, this will inspire us to continue with this important duty by following the one who should be more beloved to us than ourselves.
