The Importance of Daw’ah

I will start with a basic but very important question,

Who do we love the most in this world?
I think everyone will say that we love our mothers the most.

Just as Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said when a man came to him asking:
O Messenger of God, who among the people is the most worthy of my good company?
The Prophet (Saw) said, Your mother.
The man said then who else:
The Prophet (SAW) said, Your mother.
The man asked, Then who else?
The Prophet (SAW) said, Your mother
The man asked, Then who else?
Only then did the Prophet (SAW) say, Your father. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

And also considering the following hadith:
A famous saying of The Prophet is “Paradise lies beneath the feet of your mothers.” (In Al’Nisa’I, Ibn Majah, Ahmad).

So based on these hadiths I can say that all of us love our mothers the most.

But let me ask you another question, Is there someone whom we love more than our mother?
YES! We love Allah the most even more than our mother. I think everyone will agree with me.

Now just suppose that one day in the morning you left your home and went to work and when you came back you found out that your neighbor has abused your mother.
I am asking the question what will you do?

We have posed this question to many and everyone had an aggressive(we will bash/beat/etc. them) answer.
It was natural since we love our mothers.

Now I am asking the question why do we have this double standard?
On one hand we say we love Allah even more than our mothers but when someone abuses Allah we stay quite? Why?

The Christians are abusing Allah by saying that Allah has begotten a son.
This is a big abuse to Allah, As mentioned in the Qur’an:

“They say: “(Allah) Most Gracious
Has begotten a son!”
Indeed ye have put forth
A thing most monstrous!
At it the skies are ready
To brust, the earth
To split asunder, and
The mountains to fall down
In utter ruin,
That they should invoke
A son for (Allah) Most Gracious.”
[Al-Qur’an 19:88-91]

I am not saying that you should go and fight christians or bash them, but we can open our mouths and stop them.
We have a means of media (internet) in our hands and we can try to stop them, please use it!

I hope that you now understand the need of Daw’ah.

As the Glorious Qur’an says:
“Let there arise out of you, a band of people, inviting to all that is good,
enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to
attain felicity.” [Al-Qur’an 3:104]

May Allah Guide all of us (Aameen).
