Is the Bible truly uncorrupted?
If I had a book and in that book there are no less than 1000 truths,
but, among those truths there are certain undesirable things which may
be declared as false. For example, it says and suggests that Jesus
Christ is destined or may likely go to hell. Would you concur with me
that such a book would be categorically declared a corruption? If you’re
Muslim and Christian I’m safely assuming that the answer will be a
resounding YES! Hence, even though a book may contain so many truths but
if it has things in it that are clearly false, such a book should be
labelled as corrupted and no longer pure, let alone holy. Let us
consider the following:
“nor thieves nor the greedy nor
drunkards NOR SLANDERERS nor male prostitutes nor swindlers will inherit
the kingdom of God.” (1st Corinthians 6:10)
“But I say to you
that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to
judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council,
and whoever says, `YOU FOOL!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire.
(Matthew 5:22)
Jesus on several occassions made the following remarks :
“You fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred?” (Matthew 23:17)
“You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?” (Luke 11:40)
“And he said to them, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!”(Luke 24:25)
Is Jesus then by his own admission in Matthew 5:22 and Paul in 1st
Corinthians 6:10 going to hell? That is clearly the case. If this is so
how then can Christians claim to have guaranteed salvation when their
saviour is going to hell himself? Those who agreed with the analogy I
provided at the start about the book must apply the same conclusion with
the Bible.
May God guide us towards TRUTH.
