Surviving Winter in Tents – Stand with the Refugees

Seven years on and still millions of Syrians need your support.

International and Muslim relief organizations again this year are requesting your support to help our brothers and sister in Syria overcome another harsh winter.
Millions of men, women, boys and girls are internally displaced, many without adequate clothing and have to stay in make-shift shelters, which leaves them extremely vulnerable to rain, snow and freezing temperatures.

An-Nu’man ibn Basheer reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”

Find below a list of the most trusted organizations through which you can support the refugees.

UNHCR

UNHCR is on the ground inside Syria and neighbouring countries, working with partners to provide winter assistance to the most vulnerable refugees through cash assistance and the distribution of essential winter items. UNHCR’s winter plan aims at assisting providing winter assistance to 1 million IDPs (200,000 families) starting from September 2017.

UNICEF

With your help this winter, we plan to reach over a million children and families with thermal blankets and winter clothing kits containing hats, gloves, scarves, shoes and socks. We will also heat classrooms and play spaces and continue to provide life-saving food, clean water and medicine to protect the most vulnerable children.

But we simply don’t have enough funds to reach every child that needs us. We urgently need your support to help us reach more Syrian children whose lives are in danger.

Please donate today and help Syria’s children now.

Helping Families Survive the Cold

It’s true that you can’t save everyone in need this winter, but you could help save someone.

You could help save a baby born in the cold.

As temperatures drop, so do the chances of survival for babies in displaced and impoverished families. With no defence against the cold, these babies could die this winter.

£18 could provide blankets to keep one baby and its family warm this winter.
