The Revert Muslim Who Converted 1,08,000 People To Islam

Islam is the fastest growing religion and this statement is no new for any Muslim on this planet. Since, the revelation of Holy Qur’an Allah has been guiding & aiding Muslims. Be it conquest of Non-Muslim lands or propagation of the true religion.

A number of Muslims have contributed in the growth & propagation of Islam. Since 1400 years Muslims have taken Da’wah as their prime duty behind worshiping Allah. Scholars and Da’ees suffered a lot but didn’t forsake this glorious task on inviting Non-Muslims to Islam. May Allah grant them higher station in Paradise.

One such Da’ee is Deen Mohammad Shaikh (Also a revert) who single handedly converted 1,08,000 unbelievers into Muslims.

Born in 1942, to a Hindu family in Badin, Sindh, Pakistan. Deen Mohammad Shaikh reverted to Islam in 1989 with his uncle, Since then he is active in the field of Dawah and has converted more than hundred thousand people to Islam.

He is President of a local mosque Jamia Masjid Allah Wali & Madarssa Aisha Taleemul Qur’an, an institute for the conversion to Islam.

His journey to Islam began in his early teenage when he used to read Qur’an secretly due to fear from public. His inclination towards Islam grew with time and triggered his family who wanted him to practice Hinduism.

He says, “I always loved Islam; I read the Glorious Qur’an and realized 360 gods(idols) were not of any use to me.”

His family feared his conversion to Islam especially his mother who married him off thinking he will not be inclined to Islam anymore and would be busy in his married life.

Shaikh married a local Hindu girl but his love for Islam never went away. After a long time he finally decided to revert to Islam, family members turned hostile towards him except his uncle who was like minded and both of them took Shahada in 1989.

He managed to find a teacher Muhammad Jangsi who taught him Qur’an & Hadith of Prophet (PBUH).

He began his Da’wah work from his home, then to relatives and in society. Since then his powers of persuasion led 1,08,000 people to Islam.

Many wealthy Muslims funded him in his Da’wah goals. They also tried to give him money for his use which he declined and asked them to provide jobs for the new Muslims.

He says, “My heartfelt wish is that entire world becomes Muslim.”

Throughout his propagation work he garnered huge fame and a number of people visits him and reverts to Islam.

He helps new Muslims by every possible means. He provides them shelter and teach the basics of Islam and doesn’t burden them at the beginning with all the rituals rather he tells them to pray only Fard prayer for 40 days then adding Sunnah prayer gradually. It helps the new Muslims to learn Islam easily and perfectly.

He also keeps record of all 1,08,000 Muslims with all of their details such as phone number, address, etc.

He doesn’t intend stop reverting people to Islam and the number doesn’t matter for him. He mean what he says, he wants to see the whole world as Muslim.
