You are not Alone
Especially right now, when you feel scared and alone, imagine Virgin Mary, walking with infant Christ in her arms, knowing people were about to accuse her and verbally abuse her for what they assumed about her. God cleared her name and made her a shero for all of humanity.
Remember Joseph, thrown into a well because of his brothers’ assumptions of their father’s special love for him. But in the end, God made him a leader whose footsteps we follow until today.
Remember Abraham who was thrown into a fire because of people’s assumptions of him as he shared his message. But in the end, God made him a legacy praised until now.
Remember Noah who was ridiculed because of standing firm despite people’s reactions and assumptions of his religion. But in the end, his steadfastness was an example for the world.
People of faith- it is trying times like these in which we have the example of shero after hero (may God’s peace be upon them all) to remind us that when times get rough and we’re afraid, we aren’t alone.
When it seems like the world is closing in on you and an ocean of fear, judgment, stereotypes and accusations are blocking your only way out, remember the words of Moses when it seemed like there was no way out, “Indeed, my Lord is with me; He will guide me.”
You aren’t alone. You’ll never be alone. God is the Light of the Heavens and the Earth. And what brighter light than that of God’s in times of darkness?
